Workspaces

Reachable from the workspace switcher in the app header (not a sidebar row). One account can belong to several workspaces — one per brand, or one per client.

What a workspace is

A workspace is one brand's HyperDM: its own contacts, automations, flows, products, knowledge, connected Instagram account, plan and billing. Nothing crosses between workspaces.

Your role is per workspace. You can be an owner in one and a client in another.

Switch workspace

Use the switcher in the app header. The current workspace's name is shown; click it (or press the Down arrow on it) and a menu opens with a Search name or @handle box first, then your workspaces — the one you are in is checked, and a hidden one shows only when you search for it. Pick another to move — until the switch lands the switcher reads Switching to … and the list waits for it. Escape closes the menu and puts you back on the switcher. If you are no longer a member of the one you picked, the menu opens again to say so, with the list read afresh.

The roster

The full list lives at /workspaces, a table with one row per workspace: its name and the connected channel (or No channel connected), your Role, the Plan (with a Trial chip while it is trialing), and a Needs you column of up to three chips — N need reply (conversations waiting on a human), Channel needs attention (the connected channel's health check failed) and NN% of plan (usage at 85% or more). The workspace you are in is marked Current. Click a row (or its name) to switch to that workspace.

At the end of each row are two buttons, always visible:

Hidden workspaces move to their own section below the list, Hidden workspaces (N), closed until you open it. The workspace you are in is never tucked away: if you hide it, it stays in the main list with a Hidden chip.

There is a search box for accounts with many workspaces; it searches both lists. When hidden workspaces match, Hidden workspaces opens by itself and its title counts the matches — Hidden workspaces (1 of 2) — and if only hidden ones match, the main list says Only hidden workspaces match instead of showing nothing.

While a pin, hide or switch is saving, the row buttons wait for it: they stay where they are and their tip says Saving your last change — try again in a moment.

Create a workspace

From the switcher: choose New workspace, type its name in New workspace name and click Create (or press Enter). Creating one makes you its owner — that is the only way ownership is ever acquired, which is why an owner can never be invited by link.

An account can create up to 2 workspaces (ones you were invited to don't count; agency operators are exempt). At the limit the switcher explains instead of offering New workspace — free a slot by deleting a workspace you own, or use an organization. The switcher's list catches up as soon as you create or switch: your new workspace and the limit show the next time you open it — no reload needed.

Join a workspace through a link

A workspace's owner or admin can share a join link instead of inviting you by email.

1. Open the link and sign in (or create your account). You need a confirmed email address.
2. You see the workspace's name. Add a note if you like — who you are helps them say yes — and click Ask to join.
3. The page now says your request is with the workspace's owners and admins. Changed your mind? Click Withdraw request.
4. Once someone approves you, open the same link again and click Open workspace.

If your request isn't approved, the link says so, and you can ask again after 7 days. A request nobody answers lapses after 14 days, and you can ask again then too. If the link says it isn't working, it was replaced or switched off — ask for a fresh one. Opened an invite while signed in to the wrong account? The invite page offers Ask for access with this account, which sends the same kind of request for the account you're using.

Common questions

Does each workspace need its own plan? Yes, unless they are pooled under an organization on the Agency plan.

Can I move contacts or automations between workspaces? Not directly. You can share a flow with a link and install it in another workspace — see Flow builder.

I hid a workspace by mistake. Open /workspaces, open Hidden workspaces (N) below the list, then press Hide on the workspace again (its tip says Show in the switcher again).

Why is a URL never scoped to a workspace? By design — the app never puts a workspace id in a URL. Your current workspace comes from the switcher, so a link you paste to a teammate opens in their current workspace, not yours.
